eBay Finds: Discontinued Burberry & hourglass

I get a bit obsessive about discontinued makeup items.  I kick myself for not buying them when they were readily available.  And when they’re gone and difficult to acquire, their lure becomes even greater!  I start plotting ways to get my hands on them.  Enter eBay.  I know some people are uneasy about being off eBay but I’ve never had any issues – just do your research, if something seems to good to be true, it probably is. In January I was lucky to find two discontinued items that I had put eBay alerts on: Burberry sheer Eye shadow in pale...

My MAC additional dimension collection

I mentioned a while back that I love the then still limited edition MAC additional dimension finish, as well as I was super excited when it was announced that they were making it permanent.  Today, I’ll swatch my collection of additional dimension items, which include eye shadows, as well as blushers as well as a bronzer: Extra dimension formula is described as a “liquid-powder hybrid” with most eye shadows having a shimmery surface – some do have more obvious glitter or frost.  They can be used dry or wet for higher intensity however I’ve never used them wet – I will have to try that eventually....

Not that I need another Chanel nail polish because, side note, I’m trying to keep my beauty collection streamlined on all fronts, buuuuuut I saw this navy blue stunner on Chanel’s beauty community Instagram feed and swooned! Illamasqua nail Varnish Collection Megapost

Today’s post is dedicated to Julija of Infinitely Awkward, and pays homage to fivezero’s megaposts.  In one of the comments, Julija asked me how numerous Illamasqua polishes I owned – I did a quick count from my inventory spreadsheet, and the answer was: 47.  (Correction, the number of distinct shades is actually 44, I purchased back-ups of certain shades which I will indicate with an asterisks) Arguably, Illamasqua are one of my all time favourites in terms of formula and colour selection. Up until last year, I had easy access to the brand but unfortunately, Illamasqua chose to exit from...

At the time, it was mostly a method to track my growing nail polish collection to ensure that I didn’t duplicate any type of of my Essie shades (at present count, I own 73 bottles of Essies – it is my much-loved nail polish formula). Eventually I broadened the spreadsheet to include the complying with tabs: eye shadows eyeliners blushes face products...

Shiseido ideal Rouge

At Winners (Canadian TJMaxx) a couple of weeks ago, I saw a bunch of Shiseido ideal Rouge lipsticks up for sale at $12.99 a pop.
