LOL! He was a fantastic listener as well as very sweet, as well as I may or may not have teared up a bit when I had to leave him at the end of the ride.

The many unexpected things to me about riding a horse?
How high off the ground it felt! holy crap, the ground seemed truly far away.
Also, the amount of core muscles involved. By the end of the ride, I felt like I had worked out for 60 minutes.
Lastly, exactly how unpredictable animals are. I don’t understand why, however I was amazed when Napoleon would do his own equine thing, like veer off to a patch of yummy-looking turf (which occurred only once… He was a great listener, however obviously this turf was as well tasty to resist).
It was one of the funnest things I’ve performed in ages, as well as it made me desire I had a equine friend to hang out with on the regular.
